Iwas eight, innocent, I still had to figure out everything. That night I would have discovered the charming world of uptown Rome..those magical encounters in front of a camera, the fun of wearing beautiful clothes and jewels to attend the premiere of "War of the Buttons"...

My aunt was wearing a pretty coat and a 60s silk blouse; she was staring at her image in the mirror, choosing the right necklace to wear. Eventually, my cousin would have lent one to her; she was a stylish, high society woman, the wife of my father's beloved cousin.

He was the number one of Cineritz and had decided to take the women of the family to witness the triumph of a movie which was going to make history.

I was there, in that roman apartment room, amazed by the beauty of those dream outfits...

..I, too, was going to make people dream one day..

Thanks to Laura Cinelli, fashion journalist, for the memory that she has shared with us..
